Life by Numbers is a philosophy of sorts. We live in a civilization that has evolved through the cultivation of numbers. Math and science is part of our everyday lives whether we realize it or not.
Computers work through combinations of zeros and ones. Our homes, our food, our clothing are all based on numbers. Architecture, farming, manufacturing, medicine – all based on numbers.
They represent our birth dates, our height, weight. The size of our shoes, the time of the day
They help us understand the past, live in the present and predict the future.
When we find something we don’t understand it usually helps to look at the numbers to figure it out.
It’s how I live my life… by numbers.
This site is about understanding more about energy in Ontario. Specifically electricity. It is one of the most underappreciated commodities in our lives. Most people don’t give it much of a though – until you don’t have it.
My initial focus is going to be on economics since everyone loves to talk about how much things cost. It is a very powerful (no pun intended) subject and has contributed to the rise and fall of several governments.
