Your information and posts is pretty amazing. I have found it to be a great resource on a number of topics.
I am currently enrolled in a Master’s in Energy Policy and Climate ay Johns Hopkins and have been trying to “Canadianize” all of the assignments and projects. As much info that the IESO publishes, it is still pretty challenging to understand that pricing of electricity in Ontario because of the opacity of the contracted pricing.
Thanks again and I really appreciate the resources.
Thanks for taking the time to read the articles and your kind words.
Ontario is a region which is very generous with the volume of information provided to the public. Because of the complexity of the Markets and the rules impacting pricing it is very difficult to make sense of it all. It isn’t enough just to mine the IESO data, you need to be aware of its limitations.
Between the IESO, the Auditor General’s reports and the Ontario Energy Board you can find most price-related information.
Good luck with your Masters Degree!
Regards
Derek
